HECAA recently celebrated its 30th year as a scholarly society. Initially founded as a caucus of art and architecture historians within the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ASECS), we continue to meet annually at ASECS and sponsor panels there. We are also affiliated with BSECS in the UK and CSECS in Canada. Our first independent conference was held in Dallas in November 2018, with another in Boston in 2023. Keep up with our activities by following our affiliated blog, Enfilade. From the outset, we have been a warm and nurturing community dedicated to supporting graduate students and emerging scholars in our field. Please join us!
